It’s Moving Day!

(Our last morning in the rented house).

I counted up this morning, and this will be the 8th time that Jose and I have moved since we were married (almost) four years ago. That includes all the hotels and company apartments we’ve stayed in… but since we lived in each of those places for more than a month (with our two crazy dogs!), then I’ll count them on the list.

Needless to say, it makes me so happy that we are finally moving into a place that’s more permanent. I don’t know if I could handle more moving boxes next year. The whole process is just exhausting, physically and emotionally. I’ll be so happy in a couple of months when we’re settled and we can enjoy our home for (hopefully!) several years to come.

  1. Good luck with the move ! I haven’t stayed in the same place for longer than a year since 2006, so I know how you feel about something more permanent. ENJOY IT. Enjoy having the freedom to nail something to a wall without phoning the landlord first.

    1. I appreciate your kind words!! It’s always nice to hear from others who go through the same thing… Every time we change houses I think – how have I survived Moving Day so many times before? It really never gets easier.

And yes I agree!! FINALLY a wall I can paint to my liking!! The planning and decorating will be fun… once we get through all the boxes!! ;)

  2. Good Luck!! I do not envy you at all! Love you guys and can’t wait to see you in a couple of weeks. Miss Kelsey is looking forward to meeting her Aunt Missy :)!

    1. Thanks Rachelle!! The worst is over.. we survived our first morning digging through boxes as we head out the door for work. It can only get easier from here! ;)

Give Miss Kelsey a big kiss from me – can’t wait to meet her very soon!! xoxo

  3. Moving is a pain but when it’s a house you are planning to stay in a while it is so exciting at the same time. Best of luck to you and Jose as you move and settle in with your sweet doggies!

    1. Thank you Aunt Eva! The pups are loving it so far.. lots of new things for them to explore!! ;) Can’t wait to see you when we come visit Knoxville in a couple of weeks!

  4. So excited for you and Jose! Congratulations on this BIG step – there is nothing that compares to the feeling of coming home to your OWN home. Can’t wait to see you in a couple of weeks! Love
